Section-B

1 (a) Value of Education: Education is very important in our life. It helps us to learn new things and become a better person. With the help of education, we can read, write, and speak well. It gives us knowledge and helps us to understand the world around us.
Education teaches us good manners and helps us to choose right from wrong. An educated person can get a good job and earn money to live a better life. It also makes us confident and independent.
Education is not only for getting a job. It helps in the growth of our mind and character. It also helps in the progress of the country. A nation with educated people becomes strong and developed.
In short, education is the key to success in life.

(b) Chandrayaan 3: Chandrayaan-3 is a proud mission of India. It is India's third moon mission, launched by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation). It was launched on 14th July 2023 and successfully landed on the moon on 23rd August 2023.
This mission showed that India can reach space with its own technology. Chandrayaan-3 had a lander named Vikram and a small robot called Pragyan Rover. The lander landed near the south pole of the moon, which no other country had done before.
This success made India the fourth country to land on the moon and the first to land near the moon’s south pole. It was a low-cost mission compared to other countries' missions. It showed the talent and skills of Indian scientists.
Chandrayaan-3 is a big achievement for India in space science.

(c) An Indian Festival: India is a land of festivals. One of the most popular Indian festivals is Diwali, also known as the festival of lights. It is celebrated with great joy all over India.
Diwali is celebrated in the month of October or November. People clean their homes, wear new clothes, and decorate their houses with lights and diyas (oil lamps). Sweets are made and shared with family and friends.
At night, people worship Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. After the puja, people burst crackers and enjoy fireworks. It is a time of happiness and togetherness.
Diwali brings light, joy, and hope to our lives. It also teaches us that good always wins over evil. It is truly a beautiful festival.

(d) Wonders of Science: Science has changed our life in many ways. It has made our life easy, fast, and comfortable. The things we use every day are all gifts of science.
Electricity, mobile phones, fans, TVs, and fridges are all wonders of science. With the help of science, we can talk to anyone in the world within seconds. Trains, cars, and airplanes help us travel quickly.
In hospitals, science has given machines and medicines to cure many diseases. We can now live longer and healthier lives. Computers and the internet are also great inventions of science.
Science is also used in farming, education, and space research. Chandrayaan and satellites are examples of scientific progress.
Science is truly a wonder. But we should use it wisely for good purposes.

(e) Noise Pollution: Noise pollution is the spread of loud and unwanted sounds that disturb our peace. It is a serious problem in cities and towns.
The main causes of noise pollution are traffic, loudspeakers, factories, construction work, and firecrackers. Loud noise can harm our ears and make us feel angry or stressed.
Noise pollution can also affect animals and birds. It can disturb their sleep and natural life. For humans, it may cause headache, lack of sleep, and hearing loss.
To control noise pollution, we should follow some rules. We should avoid using loud horns, reduce the use of loudspeakers, and not burst too many firecrackers.
Noise pollution may be invisible, but its effects are very harmful. We all must work together to reduce it and make the world a peaceful place.

(2) (A) The given line is taken from the chapter 'Indian Civilization and Culture' which is written by Mahatma Gandhi. In this line, the author says that having some physical comfort and a healthy body is important for a good life. However, if people focus too much on luxury and physical pleasure beyond a certain point, it becomes harmful. It distracts them from higher values like self-control, simplicity, and spiritual growth, which are the true strengths of Indian culture.

(B) The given line is taken from the chapter 'The Artist' which is written by Shiga Naoya. In this line, the author shows the father's disapproval of his son’s interest in painting gourds.
