Read the passage and answer the
questions that follow:
There was a king. The king wanted to know the
answers to his three questions. The three questions were, what was the right time
for him to start something? What people he ought to pay attention to; and above
all, what was the most important thing for him to do. The king sent messengers
throughout his kingdom promising a huge reward for the man who would give right
answers to his three questions. Different persons came to the king with their
different answers but the king was not satisfied with their answers. So, he did
not give the promised reward to anyone. The king decided to seek the advice of
a hermit who was widely famous for his wisdom. The hermit lived in a wood and
met only ordinary persons. The king put off his royal clothes and bodyguards
and went to the hermit as an ordinary person. The hermit at that time was
digging the earth. He greeted the king. The king took Pity on the hermit and
began to work in place of him and put his three questions before the hermit.
