Section-'B'
1. (A) The Child is Father of the Man: The idiom
"Child is the Father of Man" implies that the actual nature of a man
does not alter with age or time. However, it has been interpreted in various
other ways as well. "Child is the father of the Man" basically means
that a man is, in reality, the product of the behaviour and habits he devloped
during his early years. many other intepretations have also been made from this
idiom.
The phrase, "Child is the father of Man" was coined by the renowned
poet, William Wordsworth in the year 1802. The term basically means that the
behaviour and activities of a person's childhood go a long ways as well.
Different interpretations of the phrase "The child is father of the Man'-
1. A man is basically a product or the behaviour and manners he developed during
his growing years, mainly in his early childhood.
2. The behaviour of a child determines as to what he will become when he grows
up.
3. The way a person is during his childhood he ramains exactly that way in his
adulthood as well. The basic nature and behaviour of a person does not change
with age or time.
As conclusion, the idiom is used quite commonly mainly to indicate that 1
person's childhood habits majorly impact his ovwerall character and this is
actually true to a great extent. Thus, it is essential to develop good habits
during the childhood.
(B) Time is Money: "Time is money" is a proverb
which means that we should not waste our time and respect it more than money we
have. Though, this sentence sounds just simple wordings but if we go into depth
of this famous phrase we will find that what it actually means. Time is that
invisible thing which can change a person's life entirely. A person who knows
the value, of time can get the desired result or success in his or her life but
if does not understand the value it can also destroy his or her life
completely.
Time is precious and priceless for those who have experienced the good or bad
effects of it in their life. I we still not understand the value of time we
will not be able to get any kind of success in life.
Thus, we should all respect the value of time and also teach our new generations
to the same. To manage time in our life we should do all our work including
daily routine activities on proper time plashould set a time table for our
daily routine work either at home or work place. When wwe manage our work
without wasting too much time than we can easily get the positive results in
our life and be happy.
(C) A Visit to a Museum: A visit to a museum is
interesting as well as educative. We can understand a lot about the history and
culture of a country. its industry, arts, fashions etc, by visiting a museum.
Last Sunday, I along with some of my intimate friends, went to a museum at
Delhi. We bought tickets and entered the museum. The big building was divided
into a number of sections. On entered the museum. The big building was divided
into a number of sections. On entering the building, we saw separate sections
containing may idols of Hindu gods. They looked life-like and impressive. Then
we found ourselves in a hall decorated with rare pictures and paintings. We
then moved to the history. We saw certain objects belonging to the various
periods of history. We then went to a big room full of ancient weapons and
aromours, like heavy swords, lancs and shields. We saw bows, arrows, guns,
spears, statues, idols, manuscripts etc. In other section we saw a piece of the
rock that had been brought form the moon by Neil Armstrong. We also saw coins
of the past dynasties. In this way a visit to a musum provided us with a rich
feast of ideas. It left a deep imprint on my mind. In short, a visit to a
museum is not only interesting but educative as well.
(D) Drug Addiction: Drug addiction is a problem that has
been increasing immensely among our society today. Drug addiction can only
hinder or restrain us from accomplishing goals or dreams in life. People
somethimes feel they are too bright, too powerful, too much in control to
become addictive. Addiction can trap anyone. It can lead to harming one's body,
causing problems in family structure and contribute to the delinquency in
society. The sooner people seek help for drug addiction problems, the more
chances they have of gaining control of their life once again.
However, abstinence is the safest way to
live a longer and healthier life.
We are greatly influenced by the people around us. Today, the number one reason
of teenage drug usage is peer pressure. Peer pressure represents social
influences that affect us. It can have a positive or a negative effect,
depending on what path one follows. There is direct and indirect pressure that
might influence a person's decision in using drugs.
There are also other reasons why people might turn to using drugs. Emotional
distress, such as personal or family problems, having low self esteem like
loosing a close one, loosing a job, or having no friends, and environmental
stress are all possible factors to causing one to use drugs. Drug addiction
reduces sober time available to a person. The Personality of the addict is
destroyed and his emotions become intense and distorted. The Indian government
is making an all-out effort to check this diabolic traffickig of the drug.
